How to Make Paintball Grenades

davemathews asked:

This article about how to make paintball grenades for those of you who have no blessed idea what a paintball grenade even is. Put very simply, a paintball grenade is a paintball that is specially designed to explode in bright colors that an either have no smoke involved or does have smoke that comes in all sorts of bright colors that will provide you with a pretty thick smoke screen (that can last up to fifteen minutes) behind which you can sneak up on your opponents. When it comes to trying to make these yourself you might be wise to leave that to the professionals if you have no knowledge whatsoever about how either paintballs or grenades (as in the “real” ones used in military combat) work or are loaded into paintball guns.

With this small warning being stated in the previous sentence, you need to remember that you are not always going to find the most complete or accurate information when you are searching in the internet under how to make paintball grenades.  There are many different websites out there that will not give you all of the information that you really need in order to make the best paintball grenades that you any for the particular paintball guns that you are working with. If you do not have all of the pertinent (and very important) safety information that you need, you could be setting yourself up for trouble (and not be able to have that much fun).
There can be no mistake whatsoever when dealing with a paintball grenade that you are dealing with a grenade that is something similar to the type that is used by soldiers in military combat. The difference here is simply that you are not dealing with an explosive inside that grenade; rather it is paint that washes off easily (and smoke in some of them). Some paintball grenades (standard paintball grenades) are the type that you need to pull a pin and toss them where you want them. The other type (flameless smoke grenades) is the one that you launch out of paintball guns at your target which will give you a smoke screen behind which to hide (and escape) from your opponents in the game. You are going to find out that some of these how to make paintball grenades articles do not give you nearly enough information about this topic.

This point of this how to make paintball grenades article is telling you what types of paintball grenades are out there and how they are designed to work in connection with the types of paintball guns that are on the market today. Making paintball grenades yourself is not going to be wise if you have not read anything (or talked with anyone) ahead of time to get an idea about what you need in terms of supplies and how to go about making a simple yet effective paintball grenade. Some people choose to use silicone tubing tied off at both ends; while others will use a chemical sprayer for good effect.

How to Make Paintball Mines

davemathews asked:

If you are really serious about your paintball (or more accurately referred to as “woodball” or “woodsball” due to being conducted outdoors in the woods) and really want to know how to make paintball mines that will go off and splatter your opponents with whatever color paint you have chosen you might want to continue reading for some pretty simple and easy-to-follow tips about building your own paintball mines. You need to be aware that these are not meant to be shot out of paintball guns; although you will have a paintball gun with you when you are “playing” paintball/woodball.

This type of large-scale paintball game is run by emergency responders (such as the police, EMTs, military personnel and firefighters) to train them for worst-case scenario situations. It is also plated by those who simply want to get messy and have fun with those they know. The key to knowing what to do and how to make paintball mines is knowing what you need and putting things together the right way. You want your paintball mine set up in just such a way that the only thing necessary to set it off (trip it if you will) is the right amount of pressure when your opponent steps on it. These little paintball mines do not need to be very large; on the contrary, they actually need to be rather small so that they are easy to make. When you are making these paintball mines you are going to be using the same CO2 cartridges that are used in paintball guns.

The main things that you need according to a few how to make paintball mines articles are a small plastic container that resembles a pan (four to six inches is ideal), cardboard (this will form the trigger bottom and the upper chambers), glue, a small nail (part of the trigger) and CO2 cartridges (the propellant for the paint) as well as the paint. These very inexpensive items will do nicely to make your paintball mines. You will find all of these things anywhere that paintball guns are sold and also in hardware stores (the glue, nails, cardboard and container). What most people do not realize is that these little paintball mines are very simple to make, and fun to watch them working as well. You do not need anything that is very large, this will not be as effective as a smaller container will be.

You will need to make sure that the CO2 cartridges are the type specifically made for paintball guns as the propellant of the paint. As for what type of paint you need to use in your paintball mines that all depends upon what you can afford (given the fact that paint is not exactly cheap). There are going to me many different people that will leave comments and observations following some of the how to make paintball mines articles. Those comments might help you understand the content even more; or they might not be any help at all depending upon what is said.

Paintball, Another Refreshing Game

Kevin J Smith asked:

An amateur sport now taken a professional look, paintball is a game of strategy and there is no correct or incorrect way to win it. The game is played by hitting other players with paintballs or gelatin balls those are filled with paint. Well, there are few basic skills that should be considered before you head out to face the opponents. Due to the fun involved in the game, it has become popular across the United States and whole world. Around 5 million people do paintballing every year with almost 2 million people playing 15 paintball games each year. To make the fun sport work, players eliminate other players by making sure that other person is visibly hit by a paint ball. The hits are only valid if player hits the clothes, torso, gear or anything a player is wearing like backpack. First and the most important thing is to make sure that you are using the right paintball gun in the play. Gun buyers will get ample number of equipment options in online stores. You just need to choose the gun that fit your budget and options you are looking for. Finding paintball guns on sale is just the right time for you to buy the equipment without giving it a second thought.

Paintball game is played in many ways but two major games played are straight elimination game and another one in which one has the objective of capturing other team’s flag. While playing a straight elimination game, there will be several players who are in charge for the offense while other players stay back. It is the mark of a good paintballing team that it will have many players whose main job will be to eliminate as many players as possible. Player is supposed to put himself into danger so that others will be able to move quickly and have good accuracy. More points are scored for capturing the flag in comparison to what you score by eliminating players.

Paint ball being a team game demands that everyone in the team should have a particular mission. Some players have offensive while others play defensive role. Working together makes it easy for the team to eliminate opponents quickly.

Mostly paintballing is done in parks with varied themes like historical battlefields, jungle and more. Major events are played at stadiums, military bases and fairgrounds. There are certain websites available on internet providing facility to organize gaming sessions by their own.

What’s the difference between Speedball and Woodsball? And what the heck is Scenario Paintball?

Mark Etinger asked:

There are basically two ways to Paintball. One is Speedball and the other is Woodsball.  Didn’t know that? Starting to get that Paintball addiction? Well it’s time for you to learn a thing or two.

Speedball and Woodsbal are two special variants of paintball. If you’re just an amateur paintballer, you’ve probably used those commercial paintball parks, the parks that charge you loads of money and let you fool around like a little child.

Then there’s us, paintballers who think paintball should be played in the wild. We pick our own teams and create our own rules. We’re the Woodsballers.

Woodsball is the real deal. It’s called woodsball because, Mr. Sherlock, we play it in the woods. There are no fences, no limits, you can be in the game or run home for your mommy. We use the outdoors, relay on nature, the woods are bunkers and rocks are hideouts. All you need is a gun, some paintballs and probably a couple of your paintballing friends. Want to get in? Try these possible games and scenarios:

•    Elimination – As sweet and simple as it sounds. Kill everybody. By yourself or with a team. Only the strong survive.

•    Capture the Flag – If you’re looking for some tactics, try CTF.  Use flag stations and collect more flags, or have just one flag for each team and claim it for victory.

•    Assault! Get yourselves into two teams. Let one team protect their territory and let the other charge. The attackers should try to eliminate their opponents or take hold of their territory.

Then there’s Speedball. This form of paintball was created mostly for professional competitive paintball and provides a standard field and better viewing possibilities. If you thought that paintball is just for fun, some professional speedballers would probably disagree – speedball turned into a real competitive sport, with teams, coaches, uniforms, merchandizing, sponsorships and the whole shebang.

In speedball, there are between 2 to 10 players in a team. The professional speedballers use smaller guns, because speedball tends to be, well, speedy. Also, the small size of the field makes it hard to camouflage yourself, and there has to be rapid movement and constant communication between the team members.

Scenario Paintball is basically a couple of paintballers who really want to fight in Vietnam. Or on the Enterprise ship. Or just add any theme to their game of paintball. Most of the scenario paintball games are played large-scale with huge crowds and themes like D-Day.

If you’re into starting your own team of woodballers or even a professional team of speedballing, it is always recommended to carry the best and safest equipment. Successful Outdoor Paintball Gun Strategies

Kangaroo Jack asked:

The key to all effective outdoor paintball gun strategies is practice. Every professional paintball team spends many hours going over their paintball gun strategies. Practice allows you to have individual skills and enhance teamwork. There are four steps you should use when practicing outdoor paintball gun strategies.

Discussion

Before you even being training it is best to go over the various field plans as a team and decide on the best paintball gun strategies you should use. Consider the different situations you may run into and the plans you can use. Before you actually set foot on the field you want to make sure everyone is clear on what to do.

Dry Training

In this step you want to take the time to walk through all your paintball gun strategies. You don’t have to do this on the actual field, especially if you don’t know where its going to be. You can practice in your backyard if necessary, just make sure everyone knows what your paintball gun strategies look like when they are in progress.

Half-Speed Training

In this training method you will actually use paintballs. Go through all of your paintball gun strategies, but go slowly like you did with dry training. Don’t rush and use soda cans as targets. If you can hit soda can during training, you will have no trouble hitting your opponent during the game.

Full-Speed Training

Now you will be running through the field and using paint as if you were playing against real opponents. It is a good idea to do this first on the speedball field where you can get a feel for your paintball gun strategies and how the team works. Then you can do a practice run in the woods before you are ready to face your opponents.

Practice is a long and important process. By following the four steps of practice you can be successful every time you step on the field. However, some keys to successfully completing your paintball gun strategies include knowing the terrain; having good communication and teamwork; and being able to move effectively.

Know The Terrain

Study your terrain well and look for any advantages. If there are hills you can slowly climb up at a crouch. Then when you reach the top you can pop-up for a quick look before dropping to your stomach for protection. This way you can quickly and easily see what targets are available.

If the goal is to protect your flag then you should look for a tree that gives you good protection while allowing for movement. It may be a good idea to try sitting in the tree and suprising your opponents from above.

Communication and Teamwork

Communication is essential to outdoor paintball gun strategies. Make sure you have your movements planned so that everyone instinctively knows where to go and what to do just by watching each other. In outdoor paintball games communication doesn’t necessarily mean the verbal kind. You don’t want the other team to know what you are doing so silent communication is important. Choose a leader and base your reactive strategy off them. Choose your leader based on tactical experience, military sense and nerve.

Movement

The most important part of outdoor paintball gun strategies is movement. If you want to rush through the woods it is best to stay on uncluttered ground. When you are in the woods the spot you step on will have an impact on how loud you are. It is best to have comfortable hiking boots especially if the area is muddy and the ground is unlevel.

Another key to silence in outdoor paintball gun strategies is your hopper or paintball pods. If they are half-filled they will be as loud as baby rattles. You should choose pods that are about half or 3/4 the size of your hopper.

There is a greater fun involved in paintball Scotland, one of the famous paintball games we have. There are certain basic skills one should consider before facing the opponent. Like the hits are only valid if a player hits the clothes, torso, gear or anything his opponent is wearing. One of the most important factors you should not let go is the selection of paintball gun. The game of paintball has several variants. There are straight elimination games as well as flag capturing games played by paintball lovers. Because of it being a team game, paint ball demands that everyone playing in the team should have one particular mission. Some players play the offensive while other play the defensive part. Working together as a team makes it really easy to eliminate opponents very quickly. It is very important to have an open area to do paintballing. As there is no fixed number of players who could play the game, it becomes essential to have a large ground where it will be difficult to chase opponents. The Many Genres of Paintball

Mike Mitchell asked:

Paintball, while extremely fun and invigorating, isn’t the end all to be all of the game. There around about six different genres of paintball play including, scenario paintball, woodsball, tournament, tourney ball and speedball. To further the point, speedball itself can be subcategorized into airball and hyperball. This article is going to go over these genres and explain what fun they provide.

Woodsball

It is said that woodsball is the birth of paintball. As the name describes the game is played in the woods. The primal and natural setting adds much more dimension to the paintball played in a controlled arena. Since the game is played au natural, it is a game of stealth and requires the players to stalk their opponents. The area the game is played in offers the capacity for dozens and dozens of players.

Keeping quiet, playing possum and keeping watch are the strategies woodsball players excel in having. Being sneaky is imperative because paintball markers (guns) are really loud when they are fired and as a result the players will do everything possible to avoid that. There are markers that act the same way a silencer acts for a real gun by offering a much quieter release. Any obstacle to upholding the secrecy of a team’s location is sure to be averted and a player’s accuracy when firing is quintessential in this effort.

The great thing about woodsball is that the players can custom fit their theme to their imaginations. They aren’t forced to conform to a scenario and have free range to dream up any character and story they wish!

Speedball

This form of the game is as its name bluntly suggests, fast! It’s not played on a broad field rather speedball is held in close accommodations like around the size of a high school indoor basketball court. The same props used to offer players shelter from their opponents are used in speedball and are evenly placed to offer both teams places to duck and cover.

Unlike in woodsball, the players shoot like there’s no tomorrow and are usually closer to their intended targets. Due to its quick style, speedball is a surefire way to practice your aloofness and dexterity. Because of this, this style of paintball is normally used for paintball training.

Scenario

Scenario paintball is a lot like woodsball. It’s based on specific scenario and the players each have roles to play. This sort of paintball play usually involves a great deal of players and is done on a very large field and lasts way longer than traditional paintball or speedball, commonly lasting for days at a time.

Airball and Hyperball

Airball is a form of speedball that is very common and highly popularized. Hyperball uses different types of markers made up of uneven pipes. Both Airball and hyperball is played on a rectangular shaped field.

Of all the possible ways to play, paintball has become a highly sought after game and widely played sport. Pick your poison. For the super athletic and fast paced speedball may be for you. With the sneaky may prefer a game woodsball. No matter the genre you choose be safe and have fun.

How to Make a Paintball Bazooka

davemathews asked:

If you are looking for good how to make a paintball bazooka information, you will find that many of the websites you are looking at really do not give you the quality information that you are really looking for and need. We have all been there when looking for information about these very powerful paintball guns (or anything else for that matter). Those that are looking for the best information about the type and size paintball that needs to be used in the paintball bazooka that you are in the process of making will also find out that there are so many different references.

You only need to remember a few things when it comes to how to make a paintball bazooka: use good quality materials to start with for the best quality paintball guns and know what you are doing when it comes to making your own paintball gun from scratch or customizing an already manufactured paintball gun. If you are not that great at working with cutting and welding steel, you are going to be better off to choose a paintball gun that is already made and start to customize it to what you need. Are you looking to be able to shoot more than one paintball at a time (you know, more like dozens at a time)? If this is the case, you might want to think about creating a multiple barrel (two is the minimum and six would be the maximum) setup so that you can really have some fun. Those that are involved in paintball tournaments or huge paintball fights will have good fun being able to pick off your opponents rather quickly using a multiple barreled gun.

Remember this when you are looking for good information on how to make a paintball bazooka please remember that not everything out there is designed and/or written for those that are true beginners in this arena. You will find out that some of the information out there is intended for those that are at least familiar with the subject and paintball guns in particular and speak from that angle. Those who are totally new to this fun and exciting entertainment need to have step-by-step directions that are specifically designed and written for those who have no real knowledge about what part of a paintball gun is which. What really helps is when you know where the paintball goes.

Knowing where the paintball gets loaded in paintball guns is a good starting point. The best thing that you can do when looking at any of the how to make a paintball bazooka articles and lists is to see if it gives you specific step-by-step directions about making (or modifying) your own paintball gun. Those that are looking to change a single barrel paintball gun into a multi-barrel need to have specific step-by-step instructions as far as what you need to do when you are making a conversion like that. There is nothing wrong with saying that you are a beginner or new to something, that is how you get good information.
